Privacy & data

What this site
knows about you

This is a personal portfolio: a handful of static pages, no accounts, no forms, no tracking profiles, no advertising. The short version is that this site collects nothing from you. The long version is below, because vague is worse than dull.

Who is responsible

Simone Rodari, Milan, Italy. I run this site myself, as a private individual, and I am the data controller for anything described here. You can reach me at [email protected].

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own, and stores nothing in your browser to recognise you later. That is why there is no consent banner: there is nothing to consent to.

What is processed, and why

Server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and served through Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare records standard request data, including your IP address, to deliver the pages and to protect them from abuse. Those logs are not used for advertising, and I do not build visitor profiles from them.

Third parties

Loading a page from another company's server reveals your IP address and browser to that company. These are the ones involved here:

Some of these companies are based outside the EU and may process data in the United States, under the safeguards described in their own policies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, and you can object to processing. In practice this site holds nothing to ask about: if you email me, that email sits in my mailbox like any other, and I will delete it if you ask. Write to [email protected] and I will act on it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in Italy the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

Content and code

The projects shown here were built for university courses, several of them with coursemates who are credited on the project pages. The source code lives in the linked GitHub repositories and is governed by whatever licence each repository carries. The writing, design and images on this site are mine; please ask before reusing them. Codex Naturalis is a board game by Cranio Creations, and the page about it documents a university project, with no affiliation to or endorsement by the publisher.
